When we realized that “Same Time, Next Year” was being hopelessly butchered by thoughtless editors at KCOP Channel 13, we turned off the TV (thankfully before our memories of this beautiful film were destroyed), raced out and rented it on video cassette. More and more, watching movies on non-pay TV is like watching movie clips which remind the viewer of what the movie was like.
