A probe into an April 4 warehouse blast in San Francisco that killed nine people will continue, even though federal charges were dropped against three people accused of operating a secret fireworks factory in the building, officials said. U.S. Magistrate F. Steele Langford dismissed the government complaint against Wayne Louis Quan, 28; his sister, Laureen Quan, 24, and Steven Randall Leong, 28, all of San Francisco. He reserved the government’s right to refile charges.
