A pickup-truck driver was killed and five other persons were injured in an accident that blocked the northbound lanes of the Santa Ana Freeway for more than six hours this morning.
The chain-reaction collision, near Beach Boulevard in Buena Park, involved four vehicles and began when the driver of a semi-trailer truck apparently lost control of his vehicle and slammed into a freeway overpass shortly before 3 a.m., a California Highway Patrol spokesman said. The name of the pickup truck driver was not immediately released. Cause of the accident was under investigation.
