A Briton who fled the United States after he allegedly ran down a teen-ager in Indio pleaded innocent to vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence. Thomas Anthony Williamson, 35, was ordered to appear in Riverside County Superior Court on Sept. 19 for trial. Williamson, a native of Eastbourne in Sussex, was living in Cathedral City, near Palm Springs, at the time of the May 27, 1984, accident. Kent Andrew States, 15, was walking along California 111 with a friend when a car struck him. Williamson was found in Kenya and extradited.
