California Colony Features Firm’s Award-Winning Designs

California Colony, a new Kaufman & Broad community in Mission Viejo, opens this weekend with 198 single-family homes in the identical architectural designs that won the company a 1986 Gold Nugget Grand Award.
Three models are featured, from a one-story home with two bedrooms, to a two-story home with three bedrooms, a loft and 2 baths.
The homes have 815 to 1,450 square feet of living space and are priced from $109,990 to $130,990.
Features include tile roofs, vaulted ceilings, wood-burning fireplaces, bay and greenhouse windows, ceramic tile entries, walk-in closets, carpeting, two-car garages and rear-yard fencing.
The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday through Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays. The development is located at 21742 Tegley.
