Those who believe Atkinson’s comment that “Press to Play” is “just another in a long line of post-’Band on the Run’ letdowns” are going to miss a great McCartney album.

But what really annoys me is the drivel spewed by Atkinson in referring to McCartney’s classic-in-waiting, “Only Love Remains,” as “Barry Manilow slop.”

Don’t you ever refer to Manilow and McCartney in the same breath!
