WYETH’S WORTH
Why bother to spend the time and air fare to not only disparage a talented American artist’s work, but to blame him for the (over) reactions of the media?
Surely, any critic worth his salt would appreciate the fact that an artist’s expression in techniques, choice of subject matter and how he chooses to reveal his work is a private matter and is what makes him unique and fascinating. Why snipe at him for selecting his beloved Chadds Ford as a locale for his paintings?
Long ago, millions of art lovers discovered Wyeth’s work. As a young painter, his work was recognized by the New York Museum of Art, where “Christina’s World” is proudly displayed (over 30 years now).
Just who is this William Wilson, anyway?
