2 Ex-Savings Officials Indicted

CINCINNATI — Marvin L. Warner, former owner of Home State Savings Bank, and former Home State President Burton M. Bongard were indicted today on federal charges of conspiracy and fraud relating to the thrift’s investments with a collapsed Florida securities dealer.
Home State collapsed in March, 1985, suffering losses of about $144 million through its investments with ESM Government Securities Inc., of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Home State’s collapse came four days after federal regulators closed the insolvent ESM.
