2nd Chernobyl Reactor to Go Into Operation

MOSCOW — The second reactor at the Chernobyl nuclear plant is to start producing power following the successful resumption of operations at the first, Tass news agency reported Friday.
It said the second unit, which, like the first, was not damaged in the April 26 accident at the Ukrainian plant, will restart in about two weeks. The first unit began producing power for commercial use this week following a shutdown of over five months.
