UCSD Rallies to Beat Top-Ranked Menlo

The UC San Diego women’s volleyball team rallied Saturday to beat Menlo College, 18-16, 6-15, 7-15, 15-2, 15-13, in the finals of the Seagram’s Cooler Classic at La Jolla. Monica Bradley had 17 kills and Carol Lipson 16 for the Tritons. Kim Stonecipher had 58 assists. Colleen Kawela of Menlo led all players with 21 kills.
By beating top-ranked Menlo, the second-ranked Tritons will be the top-seeded team in the western regional championship next weekend at UCSD.
