TIME FOR INTEGRITY
In Marc Shulgold’s interview with Skitch Henderson (“Hendeson Leads a Pop Program,” Nov. 21) the conductor is quoted as saying, “Whatever I did, I always maintained a level of integrity, even on ‘The Tonight Show.’ ”
Is this the same Skitch Henderson who in the ‘60s was charged, fined and jailed by the IRS for over-valuing many old, worthless manuscripts and scores and taking huge income-tax write-offs for them? Did the integrity blossom before or after that action?
