Pay the Musicians

The San Diego Symphony has, in the recent past, solicited more than $2 million from the people of San Diego. The time for the concert season has arrived, but is the San Diego Symphony producing concerts? No!
The musicians of the San Diego Symphony are, however, producing a concert series. The musicians are the ones responsible for creating the music concertgoers want to hear. I challenge the symphony’s board to walk on stage and play a concert.
The musicians are the symphony. Therefore, the donated money must be turned over to the real performing symphony or returned to the donors. This board of directors is no longer directing a symphony--that is, a group of musicians who perform concerts of symphonic music.
As a contributor to save the symphony, I feel cheated and want a refund. I want my money going to the real symphony, not a phantom.
