Favored Case Money Wins by 6 1/2 Lengths at Hollypark

Favored Case Money beat Veronica’s Quest by 6 1/2 lengths in the featured $25,000 allowance race for fillies and mares Friday before a crowd of 10,367 at Hollywood Park.
Case Money, ridden by Pat Valenzuela, took the lead early and finished the 1 1/8 miles in 1:50 3/5. Veronica’s Quest, with Alex Solis up, finished second, 2 3/4 lengths ahead of Keep Dating. The winner paid $4.60, $3.20 and $2.40; Veronica’s Quest returned $5.40 and $2.80, and Keep Dating paid $3 to show.
In a companion $25,000 mile race for fillies and mares, Antique Lace, ridden by Gary Stevens, won by three lengths over Intently, ridden by Laffit Pincay. The winner ran the mile in 1:35 and paid $13 to win.
Stevens also won three other races--the second with Just As Fleet, the third with Double Quest and the seventh with Hachi.
