TV, RADIO TO AIR ARMS HEARINGS

The opening remarks of former National Security Council adviser John Poindexter before the House Foreign Affairs Committee will be covered live today at 6:30 a.m. on television and radio, including KCBS (Channels 2 and 8), KCET Channel 28, public radio station KCRW (89.9), Cable News Network and C-SPAN. Coverage will continue as long as the hearings are in open session.
Live coverage also is planned for Wednesday by the same stations, when CIA director William Casey makes his opening remarks at 6:30 a.m. As with today, the amount of coverage will depend on whether the session remains open or is closed.
