A 33-year-old woman was in Ventura County Jail charged with murder in the Nov. 4 death of her 2-year-old foster son. Julie Maslin reportedly told sheriff’s deputies that Christopher Greer was killed when she opened a cabinet and several items fell out, striking him on the head. Ventura Sheriff’s Lt. Larry Weimer said an autopsy showed the child died of a ruptured intestine caused by blunt-force trauma. Christopher and a younger set of twins were taken from Gail Greer, 21, of Canoga Park after the arm of one of the twins was broken in what Greer said was an accident.
