Monterey Park : Firefighters Agree on Pact

The city and the Monterey Park Fire Fighters’ Assn. have reached an agreement on a three-year contract.
Members will receive a 9% salary increase retroactive to June 28, with an additional 7% increase effective next June 29 and a 5% increase effective July 1, 1988. Firefighters assigned to paramedic duty will receive an additional 5% for the first year, 10% for the second year and 15% for the third year.
With the new contract, monthly salaries range from $2,215 to $2,269.
