Actress Susan Cabot Slain

A college student was booked for murder today in the slaying of his mother, former movie actress Susan Cabot, 59, whose battered body was discovered late Wednesday night in the bedroom of their exclusive, mountaintop home in Encino.
Timothy Scott Roman, 22, initially told police his mother was killed by an intruder, who first knocked him unconscious. But conflicting statements and evidence in the home led investigators to arrest Roman early this morning, police said. His mother was a popular singer and leading lady in the 1950s.
