UCLA Women Defeat Oregon for Pac-10 Win

Guard Jaime Brown scored 24 points, center Sue Mead 14 and forward Dora Dome 12 to lead the UCLA women’s basketball team to a 75-71 win over Oregon in a key Pacific 10 Conference game Thursday night at Pauley Pavilion.
The Bruins (10-4 overall, 4-1 in the conference) trailed at halftime, 42-29, after hitting just 13 of 43 shots (30.2%) in the first half. But they came back in the second half to outscore Oregon, 46-29, for the win.
Guard Carol Carol Drouet had a team-high 14 points for the Ducks (9-3, 3-1).
