AND WAIT, THERE’S MORE: Cameo’s Larry Blackmon is now getting his funk message across as a producer. His first project, coming later this year, will be the Pet Shop Boys. . . . Meanwhile, songwriter Allee (“Neutron Dance”) Willis is also branching out. She’s served as the art director for the upcoming Breakfast Club video, “Back on Track.” She designed a clubhouse for the clip, scouring local thrift shops for--as she put it--”everything from the walls and the watches to the food they eat.” . . . Our condolences go out to MTV veejay Alan Hunter, who was one of two finalists in the “Best Music Host” category at last week’s ACE Awards. Hunter was the first real-life veejay to lose an award to a computer-generated competitor--Cinemax’s Max Headroom.
