Just 31% of Iowans Back Reagan in Poll

DES MOINES, Iowa — More than half the Iowans questioned in a recent survey disapprove of the way President Reagan is handling his job, with a third saying his competence as President is below average.
The Des Moines Register’s copyright Iowa Poll, published today, found that just 31% of the Iowans surveyed approved of the way Reagan is handling his job. Fifty-five percent disapproved and 14% expressed no opinion.
