Director Bernardo Bertolucci was cleared in Rome on Monday of obscenity charges relating to his 1972 film “Last Tango in Paris.” Italian authorities blocked screenings of the movie a few days after it opened, and a court banned it in 1976. In 1982, the film was screened at a Rome cultural center, leading authorities to charge Bertolucci and five officials of the center.
