Hafner Paces Dallas in Volleyball Inaugural

Former Cal State Northridge All-American Heather Hafner had eight kills to lead the Dallas Belles to a 15-7, 5-15, 15-9, 7-15, 15-10 win over the Minnesota Monarchs in Major League Volleyball’s inaugural match Friday night before 3,500 in Minneapolis.
Hafner, who played on CSUN’s 1983 NCAA championship team and on three NCAA runner-up teams, was the Belles’ No. 4 selection in the MLV draft.
Hafner started at outside hitter in each of Friday’s games.
