The U.S. Olympic Committee’s 94-member executive board, meeting in Chicago, has put off indefinitely a decision on whether to support more participation by professionals in future Olympics.
Another controversial issue--a proposal that would have allowed drug-test samples to be taken from athletes before a competition as well as after--was voted down.
