Prince Undergoes Surgery

LONDON — Prince Philip, husband of Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II, has successfully undergone surgery for a hernia, Buckingham Palace said Tuesday. Philip, 65, was admitted to King Edward VII Hospital for Officers in London on Friday night and discharged the next day, a palace statement said. He made two public appearances Tuesday.
