Angelo Buono Jr., the Hillside Strangler who sexually tortured and murdered at least nine women in 1977 and 1978, was married a year ago at Folsom Prison. Department of Corrections officials confirmed that Buono, 52, and Christine Kizuka, 35, a supervisor in the Los Angeles office of the state Employment Development Office, were wed in a brief ceremony on March 24, 1986. Kizuka reportedly got to know Buono through her first husband, who spent five months in a cell next to Buono at Los Angeles County Jail while serving an 18-month sentence for assault with a deadly weapon. Buono--transferred recently to the state prison in Tehachapi--is currently serving a life sentence without possibility of parole. “I want to emphasize that Buono has never had a conjugal visit,” state prisons spokesman Bob Gore said. He is not recommended to ever have a conjugal visit . . . due to the nature of his crimes against women.”
