College Baseball : Chapman Loses, 6-3, to Cal State L.A.

Chapman College lost to Cal State Los Angeles, 6-3, in a California Collegiate Athletic Assn. baseball game in Hart Park at Orange Friday.
Sophomore Aaron Moore (4-3) walked three and struck out two in eight innings and designated hitter Jim Lynch went 2 for 3 with two RBIs and a double for Cal State LA (1-3, 13-16-1).
Chapman was led by Darren Nelson who had a two-run home run in the eighth inning. Bucky Bollinger had two of the Panthers’ seven hits. Steve Dunn (1-1) took the loss in seven innings for Chapman (0-2, 11-16).
The Panthers play host to Cal State Dominguez Hills in Hart Park today at 1.
Point Loma 7, Southern California 6--Matt Knopsis had a home run and two singles to lead the Vanguards in a losing effort at Point Loma.
