More than 600 guests of a San Francisco investment banking firm will be entertained at a party April 27 at Alcatraz, the former federal penitentiary in San Francisco Bay. The event, to be held in cellblocks that once housed the nation’s worst killers and gangsters, will cost Hambrecht & Quist an estimated $70,000. The firm is using the party to kick off a technology conference for investment specialists in the Bay Area.
