Toshiba America Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of the giant Japanese electronics maker, announced the official opening of its $35 million office, research and manufacturing complex in the Irvine Spectrum business park.
The 26.2 acre complex will serve as headquarters for the firm’s industrial electronics business sector, which manufactures computers, computer peripherals and other business machinery, the company said.
Having out-grown its Tustin offices, Toshiba America purchased the property from Newport Beach-based Irvine Co. in 1985.
