Bob Giffin, GTE Financial Officer, to Retire May 29

General Telephone of California said Bob Giffin, its vice president of finance since 1983, will retire effective May 29. No replacement has been named, the company said. Giffin joined the GTE system in 1962 and has held various financial positions throughout the company.
