An argument over a woman apparently led to the fatal shooting of a PGA Seniors Tour caddie in an Oklahoma City motel room, police said.
Joe Willie Benton, 39, of Dallas, who caddies for Seniors Tour golfer Jim Barber, was arrested after the shooting of Walter Gerski, 37, of Akron, Ohio, who caddies for Dale Douglass.
Police who searched Benton’s room at the motel where the shooting occurred found a gun of the same caliber as the one used to kill Gerski.
