Barrientos Beats Kim to Win Japan Tennis

FUKUOKA, Japan — Third-seeded Felix Barrientos of the Philippines beat South Korea’s Kim Bong-soo, the No. 2 seed, 6-0, 6-3, Sunday to win the men’s singles title in the ’87 Asian Satellite Circuit Masters Tennis Tournament.
Barrientos earned $1,600 Ufor his victory.
The South Korean pair of Yoo Jin-sun and Song Dong-wook defeated compatriots Kim Bong-su and Kim Chun-ho, 3-6, 7-6, 6-2, in the doubles final. The winning team received $650.
