Local News in Brief : Lake View Terrace Man Slain; Wife Held

A Lake View Terrace man was found shot to death in his apartment Monday morning and his wife has been arrested on suspicion of murder, police said.
Gary Allen Parker, 46, died of a single gunshot wound to his upper body, said Los Angeles Police Lt. Bernard Conine. His wife, Janice Parker, 41, is being held without bail at Sybil Brand Institute for Women, Conine said.
Police responded to a report of gunfire about 9 a.m., Conine said, and were told by Janice Parker that she and her husband had been fighting. However, he said, police knew of no specific motives for the shooting.
