South Even Better
It is with keen interest that I have read Sharon Dirlam’s May 17 and 24 articles on New Zealand, and I can only second her glowing reports on the North Island. As an expatriate American, now a citizen of New Zealand who has traveled extensively throughout New Zealand and the world, I can say that although the climate in the North Island is a bit warmer, the beauty of the South Island is far more spectacular. You can only appreciate the beautiful areas of the South Island by seeing them. It is, I believe, unparalleled in the world.
