Eastern Washington University basketball Coach Joe Folda was fired a few hours after admitting to school authorities that additional allegations of recruiting violations were accurate.
Earlier, Folda admitted improperly supplying air fares for Troy Mackey, a starting guard who left the Eagles last season after only two games, university President H. George Frederickson said.
Folda also admitted careless handling of money given to athletes who conduct recruits on tours of the campus, Frederickson said.
