A Maricopa County (Ariz.) Superior Court judge denied motions to dismiss indictments in a drug-conspiracy case against three members of the Phoenix Suns, saying he had seen no evidence of prosecutorial misconduct in pre-indictment leaks to the media.
Lawyers for Sun center James Edwards, guard Grant Gondrezick and guard Jay Humphries had asked Judge Michael Ryan in overlapping motions for dismissal of the charges because of what they said was prosecutorial misconduct, abuse of the grand jury and prejudicial publicity.
