Northwood Reaches Western Final, 7-1

The Northwood All-Stars of Irvine defeated Washington, 7-1, Friday in a semifinal game of the Little League Western Regional in Al Houghton Stadium at San Bernardino.
Northwood, which represents Southern California in the 14-team regional that opened play Monday, is within one game of going to the Little League World Series for the first time.
It was the 15th consecutive victory for Northwood, which plays Northern California in the final tonight at 8.
