No toxic residue was detected today on a syringe confiscated from a woman who allegedly was seen holding it and an open bottle of Gatorade Monday night in a Glendale supermarket, police said.
Catherine Elizabeth Davis, 41, of Glendale was being held in lieu of $5,000 bail after her arrest on suspicion of felony food tampering at the Albertson’s market on Glendale Avenue. No one saw her inject anything into the bottle. Police said they will test the Gatorade to see if it had been tampered with. The store has remained closed since the incident.
