Local News in Brief : Anaheim : Police Seek Help in Identifying Baby Girl
- Share via
Police released a photograph Tuesday of a 4-day-old infant who was found abandoned in a milk crate behind a supermarket.
“We’re hoping that the mother or relatives see the baby’s picture in the media and step forward and claim the child,” Lt. Peter DePaola said.
The 7-pound, 9-ounce girl was found wrapped in a small yellow blanket early Saturday, suffering from hypothermia. The dark-haired infant was taken to Martin Luther Hospital in Anaheim, where she remains in good condition, DePaola said.
When the baby is released from the hospital, she is expected to be transferred to Orangewood, a county shelter for abused and neglected children.
