Sweet Haul of Heroin

LONDON — British customs officials said Thursday that they have seized 44 pounds of heroin with an estimated street value of $3.6 million packed in boxes of sweet potatoes imported from Cyprus.
Three Turkish Cypriots were arrested in the haul, the largest in Britain since 1984, the officials said.
