$18 Bar Bill Costs Fugitive His Freedom

PHILADELPHIA — A squabble over an $18 liquor tab early Saturday led to the arrest of a man described as an international fugitive wanted on fraud and drug-peddling charges, police said.
William Coleman, a British subject sought by the FBI, Chicago police and Interpol, the international police agency, was arrested about 1 a.m. after he refused to pay his bar bill at a posh downtown hotel, authorities said.
Coleman, described as being in his mid-30s, had been using a phony name, but his true identity was discovered after a security guard at the Society Hill Sheraton Hotel recalled seeing Coleman’s picture on an FBI wanted poster.
