Lawndale homeowners are eligible for low-interest property improvement loans sponsored by the city and the county’s Community Development Commission.
Although other programs restrict loans to low- and moderate-income families, the Home Improvement Bond Program is open to higher-income families, officials announced. The new program will offer interest rates ranging from 3% to 8 1/2%, compared to rates as high as 14% from private lenders.
Residents may contact the city housing and community development staff at (213) 973-4321, Ext. 151.
