Hijacker’s Body Found Hanged in Mexico Cell

MONTERREY, Mexico — The body of the man who said he hijacked an Aeromexico DC-9 plane in a “moment of rashness” was found hanged in a cell in the Nuevo Leon State Penitentiary early today, authorities said.
Marco Ganem Velazquez, 37, apparently hanged himself with his own sweater. Ganem was charged here Thursday with the hijacking of a Tijuana-to-Mexico City flight that ended here Tuesday with his arrest.
