AF Jet Fighters Intercept Soviet Plane Near Alaska

ANCHORAGE — Two Air Force F-15 jet fighters intercepted a Soviet reconnaissance plane over the Bering Sea after the aircraft flew to within 35 miles of Alaska’s St. Lawrence Island, the Air Force has reported.
