Weyerhaeuser’s profit was up 61% to $446.6 million for 1987, compared to 1986. Full-year sales totaled $6.99 billion, up 24% from the prior year. The Tacoma, Wash., company attributed the results to the weak dollar and strong markets that permitted full-capacity production for the company’s wood, and pulp and paper products.
