USC has received a $4-million gift to establish a center for the study of real estate development.
The gift is from John D. Lusk, chairman of the Lusk Co., a major real estate development concern in Orange County, and his son, William D. Lusk, vice chairman of the company; it will establish the Lusk Center for Real Estate Development, a research center that will serve the real estate development industry and support students enrolled in the Los Angeles university’s Master of Real Estate Development program. The center will be part of USC’s School of Urban and Regional Planning.
The gift also establishes the Lusk Chair in Planning and Development, provides financial aid to students and supports research activities, seminars, workshops and conferences.
