Wendy’s International Inc. has awarded franchise rights to Co-Op Tel Aviv for Wendy’s first fast-food restaurants in Israel. It also is the first agreement by Wendy’s to franchise its restaurants in the Middle East. Co-Op Tel Aviv is the largest supermarket chain in Israel, with 150 stores and annual sales of about $350 million. The franchise agreement is for between 10 and 20 Wendy’s restaurants in Israel.
