The Buie Corp., a San Diego home builder with a big operation in Laguna Niguel, said home sales in 1987 hit a record 594 units for $137 million in sales, up from last year’s $80 million. . . . Barratt Developments PLC said sales for the first six months of its fiscal year were $391 million, up 16%, and pre-tax profits were $31 million, up 27%. Barratt American, the Irvine-based subsidiary of the British home builder, contributed $150 million in sales, its best year. . . . William Lyon Co., the huge Newport Beach home builder, is opening a new regional office in San Diego County. The company said the amount of business it’s doing in San Diego justifies its fourth regional office. . . . EPAC Development is moving its corporate headquarters from Long Beach to Bristol Street in Costa Mesa. EPAC is a smaller home builder that does a lot of business in Orange County. . . . Also moving is Scher-Voit Commercial Brokerage, whose new address is at Koll Center Irvine.
