College Roundup : Flores Leads Cal State Fullerton, 9-6

Shane Flores went 3 for 4 with 3 RBIs and a two-run home run to lead the Cal State Fullerton baseball team to a 9-6 victory over United States International University Wednesday at San Diego.
The Titans (29-10) were also powered by Mike Friedland, who hit a two-run home run in the fourth inning to give Fullerton a 5-0 lead, and Bobby Jones, who led off the eighth inning with a home run.
Fullerton’s Brent Mayne extended his hitting streak to 21 games, and freshman pitcher Chris Robinson got his first victory.
In another nonconference game:
The Master’s 12, Southern California College 7--Carlos Salazar and Steve Milledge each hit two home runs, and Joe Holden and Kendall Kasper each hit one home run for visiting Southern California College (15-22-1).
In nonconference men’s tennis:
Christ College Irvine 7, La Verne 2--Christ College Irvine (5-15) won the match by winning the singles, 5-1.
