C.L. Pharris Offices Moved to Riverside

After 43 years in the city of Orange, C.L. Pharris Group, a producer of sand, gravel and concrete ready-mix, has moved its headquarters to Riverside to be closer to its manufacturing plants and sand and gravel reserves.
Jerry Pharris, executive vice president, said the company’s corporate office, including 50 employees, moved April 1 to a 22,500-square-foot building that the firm bought in Riverside. Joining them were administrative employees who were transferred to the new facility from outlying offices in a consolidation effort, he said.
Pharris said the new office is more centrally located to the company’s ready-mix manufacturing and sand and gravel extraction plants in Corona, Rancho California, Perris, Redlands and Fontana.
Pharris said Orange County is rapidly running out of available sand and gravel resources. He said that although the company has an interest in an approximately 15-year reserve near the developing community of Rancho Santa Margarita, political opposition may squelch any attempt to obtain an extraction permit.
