‘County Jail: The Storm Inside’

After reading “County Jail: The Storm Inside” (April 17), I can tell you that I don’t feel any particular pity for the people in the County Jail. If they find it so intolerable to be housed there, they should not commit acts which will put them in any jail or prison.
What I find revolting is that the county is spending money to improve the conditions. Make it as tough for these people as you possibly can. We don’t owe lawbreakers anything.
